Make Corrections In Voter Cards:
Voters requiring corrections in their elector photo identity cards may approach the help centres or Corporation zonal offices in all 16 constituencies in the district.

Fresh cards would be issued after the corrections are made.

The procedures to apply for the corrections are as follows:
For correction of personal details such as name, age, sex, photograph and name of father/husband, fill up form 001 C and a form certifying that the fresh details supplied are correct.

The corrected cards would be issued in 7 or 15 days.

The same procedure is to be followed for those who are yet to receive their identity cards despite their names featuring in the electoral rolls drawn up till June 2008 and those who have lost their cards during any natural disasters or riots.

The above procedure may also be followed along with payment of Rs.25 for the following cases:
Voters who have lost or damaged their cards and require duplicate ones; those whose cards bear their old addresses though the electoral rolls have the new addresses and those who want cards that fit into wallets.

These services apply to only those whose names and personal details have already been updated in the electoral rolls.

Those who wish to have the details revised in the electoral rolls would have to submit forms 8, 8 –A or 6.

Special Camp For New Voter ID Card In Tamil Nadu 2014
A special camp will be conducted between 15th October & 10th November for inclusion & issue of Voter ID.

A special camp is planned in Tamil Nadu between 15th October & 10th November for the preparation of the new Voter ID list. Individuals who have attained 18 years of age as on 1st January, 2015, can apply for the new voter ID.

Further, those who have not registered in the voter ID, those who want to register change of address or correction of address & other details can also apply.

Special camps are scheduled in 65000 polling centres all over Tamil Nadu.All new applicants will be given new voter Ids with colour photographs on 25th January, National Voters’ Day.

Over 12 Lakh individuals had applied for new voter ID during last May. They will be issued colour –photo voter Ids before the end of this month.

There are no immediate plans for any change for the holders of black & white voter Ids. Changing into colour-photo Ids will be discussed & decided later.
